The Cutest Little Basket

I know I've got two more custom orders I should be working on but unfortunately they've been put on hold for awhile because we are waiting on some fabrics. So last night I was looking through some blogs and came across this tutorial on Pink Penguin's blog, which I had seen when I first started sewing but had quickly dismissed because I was too intimidated.

Boy was I wrong! This is the absolute easiest basket you can ever make. Ayumi is so thorough with her instructions and pictures that this fabric basket practically made itself!

How cute is this gorgeous little thing! Talk about a perfect gift for Mother's Day. You can just add a couple of knick knacks or some great stuff from Bath & Body Works and you've got the perfect little gift!

When I first saw this basket on her site, I thought it was a lot bigger. I was pleasantly surprised with the final result! It's perfectly miniature. Just the right size for gifting or having all over your house. And you can always adjust the measurements if you want to make a larger basket. Ayumi has so many tutorials on her blog and they are quite simple.

I'm so happy with my little basket. I know I always say I have to make more of the things I finish, but this is a definite must! There are a lot of important mommas in my life. What are you giving/making for your special mom??

  4. That is a super cute little basket Bonnie! I have been wanting to make something like this for my sons room to hold all of the diapering crap... wipes, butt cream, powder! I think it would need it to be a little bigger but it is perfect! Thanks for finding this so I could find it!
