A Basic Pillow

I can't believe we are having this beautiful seventy degree weather today after having hit 107 degrees yesterday. Weather here is so random and that is why people get so sick! AJ had a T-Ball game on Saturday, which I'm sad to say, he did not participate in. The day was basically spent with him following me around the field, clinging onto my pants. I didn't force him though. I don't want him to hate the game when it comes time to him actually developing his interests. Anyway, that day was HOT! I didn't realize it then, but it affected AJ in a bad way. That night, he got fever and threw up all night. The illness continued all day yesterday. My poor little monkey. But no worries, he is all better today!

I finished another project off my to-do list. This pillow was something I've been wanting to make ever since I saw this tutorial at Fussy Cut (another one of my favorite blogs!).

Like Angela, I cut up a curtain for the backing. On my last trip to Target, I had seen this single curtain panel on their clearance section for $7. It didn't have a set and it wasn't packaged. So I bought it just for this. I have a ton of it left over. This envelope enclosure is the easiest thing ever! I loved it.

Again, I didn't take the time to iron this. And I probably still won't after this post!

It looks super cute on my glider. I can't wait to make some more pillows for the rest of my house.

My hubby has the entire week off so I've got some big plans for a living room make over. I'm sure we won't get it all done this week, what with Mother's Day and my little brother's birthday right around the corner, but hopefully, we'll get SOME stuff checked off the list. Have a great Monday!

I'm linking up to these parties.

  4. This looks great! Pillows and curtains are the only two things that I can actually make, though this pillow looks infinitely better than anything I've done.

    Love that envelope closure.
